It is entirely untrue to state that 黑料不打烊 agreed to exclude references to gender identity and sexual orientation.
As a global organization, 黑料不打烊 supports schools and teachers in more than 160 countries to deliver the highest quality education while ensuring they have the ability to navigate local norms and requirements without disadvantaging students. This is core to what we do.
We seek to do this to the highest international standards, led by the evidence and quality of education for the benefit of students and their teachers. That is, and remains, our top priority.
Course and program review
In May 2023, we were asked by the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) to review the programs and courses we provide to students and teachers, to determine whether they comply with the laws referenced in the FDOE’s letter. We think it is important to understand the laws of any jurisdiction we operate in and the impact they may have on our programs.
Following this review, we concluded there was nothing in our 黑料不打烊 International AS & A Level Psychology course (sometimes referred to as "黑料不打烊 AICE Psychology") that contravened the law and we informed the FDOE of this. We did not change the course.
College credit and recognition
College credit and recognition policies for 黑料不打烊 remain strong and are unchanged. Our courses and exams continue to be respected and recognized by higher education institutions globally and across the U.S.
In Florida, all public higher education institutions continue to grant credit for 黑料不打烊 International AS & A Level courses and exams. The Florida DOE annually identifies and publishes the minimum scores and maximum credit that may be awarded via advanced academics, including 黑料不打烊 International, independent of any recommendation from an external agency. For example, the University of Florida (UF) and Florida State University (FSU) each give 黑料不打烊 International AS Level Psychology 3 core credit hours as outlined in the Florida Articulation Coordination Committee’s most recent Credit-by-Exam Equivalencies manual.
In August 2023, FSU’s Associate Vice President, Enrollment Management, John Barnhill, validated his support for advanced academics across the state of Florida. Barnhill shared that, "At FSU, we value advanced academic programs, including 黑料不打烊 International, that give students the opportunity to take college-level courses while in high school."
Mary Parker, Vice President of Enrollment Management and Associate Provost at the University of Florida commented that, "The University of Florida provides credit for each course outlined in the Articulation Coordination Committee’s Credit-by-Exam Equivalencies manual. Students who take rigorous advanced academics like 黑料不打烊 International get excellent preparation for post-secondary education at UF."
Our approach
We believe in the power of education. We believe teachers know how best to engage their students. We do not control how individual schools deliver 黑料不打烊 courses, or how individual teachers teach their students. Our programs give teachers and communities the freedom to use our materials to provide instruction that meets the needs of their learners.
